The
purpose of the Hispanic Magazine Awards are to honor those within the Hispanic
community who have demonstrated outstanding entrepreneurial achievements
in their professions. It was a wonderful event at the plush St. Regis Hotel
in New York City (where the second wealthiest painter in the world once
stayed). The event started with a delightful reception in the Louis XVI
room, after which everyone attended the gala. There, we were welcomed by
Sam Verdeja, President and CEO of Hispanic Publishing Associates.
The master of ceremonies, -Noticiero 47 at 6 and 11pm Jorge Ramos , who warmly welcomed everyone to the awards ceremony. The keynote speaker was Elizabeth Lisboa-Farrow, President and CEO Lisboa Inc
After Ms Farrow spoke, the honorees, after having received their awards, got up and delivered their acceptance speeches.
The 2005 Hispanic Magazine’s Honorees were; Yolanda Maria Welch and her Husband Roberto N. Allen Esq,from Respira Medical Company, David Perez,CEO Latin Force LLC, Richard Castro,owner and operator Mcdonalds and Ben Gutierrez,Chairman and CEO, Gutierrez Industries Inc.
This was a great event, with great company around in one of the most beautiful ambiences in New York. There were close to three hundred (200) business people from all professions within the Hispanic community, in attendance at this mega event. Mr. Sam Verdeja, President for the Hispanic Publications Group, along with his staff, did a marvelous job in putting on such a great event.
