Association Of Hispanic Healthcare Executives
Annual Healthcare Diversity Awards Gala
At The United Nations Dining Room, NY NY
May 17th 2007

Two prominent national Latino health care organizations, the Association of Hispanic Healthcare Executives (AHHE) and the National Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on Health (NHCCH), today announced the launch of their state-of-the-art communication platforms, Latino Health and Business E-News, based in the innovative and interactive AHHE website, www.AHHE.org. Health care industry professionals were consulted during the development of the e-newsletter and website expansion, making the AHHE website unique because of its built-in marketing functionality for chief marketing officers.
All website traffic will be measured, such as number of visitors, how they found it, what technology they use, and where they are located geographically. The website offers functionality and information that can be accessed free for the general public as well as “members-only” features, such as Job Postings, Jobs Administration, Forum moderation and participation, a Vendor Directory, submission of articles, event postings and updates, Content Updates, Online Networking Opportunities and Discussions, and Survey data.

Spanish language web pages are currently underdevelopment. The organizations’ sponsors and state delegate network will benefit from all of the interactive features of the website as well as the data generated from the website and newsletter. Demographic information will be available upon request and can be used for market research or market intelligence within the Hispanic health industry. The site will be a one-stop portal for Hispanic health and draws expertise from Hispanic physicians, nurses, dentists, social workers and mental health professionals. The website is always refreshing itself with the latest news in Hispanic and health-related issues. The platform is long-lasting due to its open technology and scalability. Latino Health and Business E-News will be delivered in both text and html versions.

This announcement follows the Seventh Annual Healthcare Diversity Awards Gala on May 17, 2007, at the United Nations. H.E. Ambassador Francis Lorenzo, of the Permanent Mission of the Dominican Republic to the UN, Honorary Chair of the Gala, described this communications tool as a reflection of the increasing expertise of Hispanics in technology and the need to transfer that technology to underdeveloped countries.
