New America Alliance’s signature and biggest event is the Wall Street Summit. It takes place every October in New York City . The Wall Street Summit links Wall Street executives to the growing American Latino market, identifies opportunities and issues, and proposes solutions. The Wall Street Summit focuses on increasing access to capital markets and financing for Latino businesses, promoting the participation and influence of American Latinos on our nation’s corporate and foundation boards, expanding the participation and influence of American Latinos in federal and state financial institutions, and investing in the higher education of American Latinos in the fields of business and finance.

This year’s Wall Street Summit featured many luminaries, Including Senator Hillary Clinton, Ralph de la Vega,CEO, AT&T Mobility and Consumer markets, Angela Gonzalez,-Rowe,President Hispanic Hotel Owners Association, Bronx Boro President Adolfo Carrion Jr, New York City Comptroller, William Thompson, Kathleen L.Casey , Commissioner Securities and Exchange Commission, Chuck Fallon, President for North America Burger King Corp, Janet Murguia, President and CEO, National Council of La Raza, Alejandro Silva, Chairman and CEO ,Evans Food Company, and many many more to name.

The following panels were conducted: The Mortgage Crisis, Shaping Pan-Hispanic Agenda, Wall Street Does it Still Exist?, and Journey to Corporate board seats.

The Highlight of the Summit was when Raul Yzaguirre, Co-Founder of New American Alliance and the founder of National Council of La Raza, and an advocate for the Hispanic Community for the last 50 years, received the NAA Institute Pioneers in Philanthropy award which was presented to him by the NAA Officers and Co-Founder of NAA, Henry Cisneros, former Secretary of HUD, the people in the audience,stood up for a whole minute, and clapped this legend of an man,who donated most of his life for helping the Hispanic Community, when approached by Liberty News, and asked who was his role model, Mr Yzaguirre, replied very humbly Cesar Chavez.
