Humanitarians of the World Humanitarians of the World (HOTW) is Liberty News Online's sister 501(c)(3) charitable foundation. Your tax-deductable donations help the organization support humanitarian projects around the world. HOTW's recognizes those leaders who have made a difference in humanitarian causes through its special awards.

Humanitarian Medals Humanitarians of the World recognizes annually people who have contributed their time and/money to humanitarian efforts with a variety of medals.Our highest award is the Mahatma Gandhi Medal, in honor of one of the greatest humanitarians of our era. The International Lifetime Achievement Humanitarian Medal is presented to an individual who has performed extraordinary work as a humanitarian throughout his or her life. Other awards include the Emile Griffith Sports Medal, awared to an athlete, the "Grandpa" Al Lewis Medal, awarded to an advocate or entertainer, and the Children's Medal, awarded to children ages 9 to 17.

New York Hispanic Chamber of Commerce: Annual Women’s History Month Luncheon
Nick Lugo founded Casa Publications Corporation, parent company of the Spanish-language weekly newspaper, La Voz Hispana, in 1980. He also took over the family travel business and in memory of his father and mentor, changed the name from Cophresi to Nick Lugo Travel, a name that has become synonymous with air travel in New York’s Hispanic communities. The same year, Nick founded the Hispanic Marketing & Advertising Group where he serves as CEO.
